So, I've been pretty busy lately. I really haven't been able to write. What with Valentines Day, my one year anniversary (gasp!...more about that later), the boyfriend, my friends, school, prepping for exams, work, cooking, babysitting my nephew, spending quality time with my sister, and having the ever anticipated family drama, it's been kind of crazy. But I figured since I got out of work early today, I'd write a little bit.
So... last Saturday was Valentines Day and, also, my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. I was SO psyched :). He gave me his car while he went to work from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. & I got all the supplies I needed, and I immediately went to vacuum out his car. It looked very nice & when I went to pick him up, his car was decorated (on the inside) with little notes telling him how much i love him, etc. Then, I got out of the car and held up a huge sign that read "Be My Valentine?". He said yes, of course. Then, I proceeded to give him a really sweet Valentine I made him with a poem that I had written myself. He absolutely loved it! I also showed him the brownies I made him in the shape of a heart with the words "J & L 4ever" & "Happy One Year Baby!" They were delicious :).
Well, we got our hotel room and came back to my house so I could get my dress and make-up and everything to get ready. Then, we went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner. I wore a pinkish/purplish strapless dress cut down to about the knee with a pair of pointy black heels. He wore a gorgeous blue dress shirt and nice black slacks with a nice belt and shoes.
After going back and forth on a couple restaurants, we finally decided on one called Shanghai Ichiban, a Japanese/Chinese restaurant that is absolutely GORGEOUS on the inside and out. They have 2 sides. Japanese, where it's Hibatchi style and they make your food in front of you. And Chinese, where it's more of a romantic candle-lit feel. We actually wanted the Japanese side but it was all booked so we took the Chinese. I'm glad we did though. We had the most amazinggg time ever. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed it, especially because we both hadn't eaten all day and we were absolutely starving! But mostly because it was just so damn good! Haha. We joked and laughed and boy, I'm so in love with him. It's crazy.
So after dinner, we had to take a dressed-up trip to Meijer to buy some condoms, naturally. And then we ventured back to the hotel. We got changed and laid on the bed together. And started watching "The Break-up". Now, usually he doesn't watch chick flicks so I was pretty happy. We smoked a cigarette and popped the tops on our raspberry ice wine coolers.
Then, when the movie was almost over, I got a phone call from my best friend, T. Her boyfriend had pretty much ditched her for a party at a college nearby. So I invited her to come chill with us for the night. I mean, who wants to be alone on Valentines Day? And I felt bad for her. So J & I made love before she got there. Then, the three of us spent a happy, drunken, smiley, fun night together. It was perfect :).
I'm not gonna lie though. J & I haven't exactly been perfect. Not even close. Actually two days ago, we got in a pretty big fight. Yesterday, it turned into something even bigger. But the funny (not funny haha) thing is that no matter how bad we fight (and believe me, they get pretty bad), we are always okay in the end. No matter what. But we both agreed that we definitely need to make some changes to make our relationship stronger.
In fact, he actually wrote me a letter this morning that he gave me when he picked me up from work a couple hours ago. It is the absolute sweetest letter I have ever read or seen or gotten before. It's pretty much about everything he loves about me, how much he loves me, the things he is going to change, what he's going to do better, etc.
It was just the best thing he could've done. And for a while now, I've been wanting him to tell me how much he loves me and express his feelings to me (because he never does) and now he finally has. He said in the letter that it's easier to do in writing. I didn't know that though because he usually hates to write. Lol. To each their own I guess.
Anyway, I know we'll be okay. We both have all the love in the world for each other. And I think we're both maturing a lot together and I believe that's a good thing. I just can't wait to move out of here and in with him! Lol.
Okay, well I have to go take care of baby T, my sweet little nephew.
Hopefully, I shall write more soon.
Hope you all are doing well. Take care!
